The 2018 Cadillac XT5 model arrives in showrooms with very few changes from prior years. It’s available in four trim levels: the base level, the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and the range-topping Platinum level. It’s driven by a V6 3.6L engine which delivers 310 horsepower with 271 lb-ft of torque paired to an 8-speed automatic. It’s standard front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is an option on the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims and is standard on the Platinum.

    It’s available in nine exterior colors: Bronze Dune Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Dark Granite Metallic, Deep Amethyst Metallic, Harbor Blue Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic, Radiant Silver Metallic, Red Passion Tricoat and Stellar Black Metallic.

      Features and Options

      The base features at the XT5 trim level include power front seats, parking sensors in the rear, daytime LED running lights, power liftgate, Remote Start, Keyless Ignition, and Keyless Entry. The infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen and it’s equipped with Apple CarPlay™ as well as Android Auto™.
      It comes with OnStar® including 4G LTE wi-fi connection and four USB ports. There’s also wireless charging for devices, and the sound system is an 8-speaker Bose® setup with 8 speakers and satellite radio.
      Stepping it up from there gives you a massive list of additional add-on features including heated seats and steering wheel, cooled seats, panoramic sunroof, driver memory settings, GPS navigation, 14-speaker sound, HUD, and more.

        Safety features are equally well appointed. They begin at the Luxury trim and include Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Surround Vision, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Front Pedestrian Braking.
        Higher-end safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Crash Mitigation, Automatic Parking, Rear Camera Mirror, and Top-down Camera System. It received an overall top “Good” score from the IIHS, including Good scores on small and moderate overlap front, moderate overlap side, roof and head restraints, and superior front crash protection.
