Important Warning Lights
Among the many lights on your dashboard, there are several key warning lights that you want to pay attention to. These are lights that are notifying you of a malfunction in a key component of your vehicle, so it’s important to make sure you stay on top of these.
• Charging System Light – If there’s an issue with your electrical system your vehicle will display a light that looks like a battery with plus and minus symbols. This is your Charging System Light, if this comes on avoid using system electronics and make your way to a service center as soon as possible.
• Brake System Warning Light – Should your brakes have an issue you might see a light with the word “BRAKE”. Your Brake System Warning Light is there to let you know when your brakes aren’t working properly. Continuing to drive with them may be dangerous, so make sure you get them repaired as soon as possible.
• Low Tire Pressure Light – Your tire’s pressure is key to even tire wear, improved fuel efficiency, and better traction. If your tire pressure is low your Low Tire Pressure Light will come on. It looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark inside it.
