Visiting the Oz Museum

Sitting in the middle of the town of Wamego, KS, is a humble museum with a deep love of all things Oz. Open the doors to find a multitude of exhibits with a vast collection of over 2,000 Oz artifacts on display.
Visitors can enjoy original props from the movie as well as the ruby slippers, using 3,500 Swarovski crystals in honor of the movie’s 50th anniversary. If you’re interested in seeing one of the largest collections of Oz-related memorabilia, you’ll find it here.
The museum provides an excellent exploration of the history of this iconic children’s book series. Enjoy exhibits about how the novel came to be with first editions of the books written by L. Frank Baum.
