How Long Will My Car Tires Last?
Most tires will last about five years unless you traverse rocky roads or other uneven terrain. When you’ve reached that milestone, schedule an inspection by a seasoned mechanic at our shop. That way, they can tell if you’re ready for a new set or can use them for a little longer.
Ways to preserve your tires include measuring the tire pressure. Each month, you can check the tire inflation with a tire gauge. You can either purchase your gauge or use a public one. If you’d prefer, we welcome you to schedule a quick check-up at our shop at your convenience.
Tire rotations should be administered every six months. Because the front tires endure all the impact, they may wear out sooner. Switching the front with the rear tires and even out the wear is a good idea. Otherwise, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
Even at this milestone, getting a professional to check them out is best. If you stay close to home or use your car infrequently, your tires may still be solid. An experienced mechanic will know by sight what to look for and can measure the treads that grip the road.
